Terms of Use

Rules for using Katiyari.in, relying on public information, following external links, and contributing heritage material.

Documented

Effective and last updated: 8 September 2026

By using Katiyari.in, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use or contribute to the website. “The archive” means Katiyari.in and its maintainers.

Purpose of the website

The archive preserves village history, oral memory, genealogy, photographs, and practical public information. It is an independent community project. It is not a government authority, recruitment agency, school, bank, insurer, healthcare provider, legal adviser, or official application portal. A link or reference does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

Information is not professional advice

Heritage accounts may combine documents, oral testimony, interpretation, and unresolved claims. Verification labels and sources show the basis available to the editors, but they do not make every statement conclusive.

Jobs, scholarships, examinations, schemes, land records, health, farming, finance, routes, dates, eligibility, fees, vacancies, and benefits can change or be corrected by the issuing authority. Always read the current official notice and use the official portal before applying, paying, travelling, sharing documents, or making a decision. Katiyari.in does not accept applications, guarantee selection or benefits, or appoint agents to collect money.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website is provided on an “as available” basis. The archive does not promise uninterrupted access or that all content is complete, current, or error-free. Nothing in these terms excludes a right or liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

Acceptable use

You may read, link to, and quote reasonable portions of the website with clear attribution and a link. You must not impersonate the archive; misrepresent information as an official notice; scrape or overload the service in a way that harms availability; bypass security; introduce malicious code; use personal information to harass, discriminate, defraud, or cause harm; or copy third-party material beyond the rights granted by its owner.

Names, government notices, facts, and public-domain material remain subject to their applicable status. Original site text, design, illustrations, code, selection, and arrangement may be protected by copyright or other rights. Contact archive@katiyari.in for substantial reuse or republication.

Contributions and permissions

You keep ownership of material you submit. You confirm that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you have the right and necessary permission to share it, and that your instructions do not violate another person’s privacy, copyright, confidentiality, or other rights.

When you expressly permit publication, you grant the archive a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, review, reproduce, format, translate, excerpt, credit, and publish that material for the archive and its preservation. The permission applies only to the uses you approve. You may request future removal by email, subject to applicable law, preservation needs, backups, and copies already made by others. The archive may decline, edit, anonymise, correct, or remove a contribution and is not required to publish it.

External services and security

External links, maps, official portals, email providers, analytics, and other third-party services have their own content and terms. The archive does not control their availability, security, charges, or conduct. Inspect the destination and use official domains; never pay an alleged Katiyari.in agent or disclose passwords, OTPs, banking credentials, or unnecessary identity documents.

Corrections, suspension, and changes

Send factual corrections, rights complaints, and suspected fraud to archive@katiyari.in, identifying the page and supporting source. The archive may correct or remove content and restrict abusive or insecure access. These terms may change as the service or law changes; continued use after the displayed effective date means the revised terms apply to later use.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts with lawful jurisdiction in Uttar Pradesh will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory forum or remedy available under applicable law. Before starting a dispute, please email archive@katiyari.in so the issue can be assessed and, where possible, resolved.

The Privacy Policy forms part of these terms.
